Chinese Philosophy reminds us that our relations with other people and nature, with our past and posterity, shape us and our understanding of the world. This intuition has led to various original ideas, from the Confucian relational self to Daoist accounts of change to the Chinese Buddhist vision of an infinite net of all beings. In times of outmoded individualism, ecological crisis, and unprecedented interactions with non-human artificial “agents,” the message of Chinese Philosophy appears exceptionally timely and relevant. This calls for both action and responsible, careful reflection upon our place in the web of relations.

It is in that framework that, as the European Association for Chinese Philosophy and Adam Mickiewicz University, we are pleased to invite all scholars of Chinese Philosophy to come to the Central European city of Poznań and contribute to this important dialogue during the EACP’s 6th Biennial Conference on July 1-4, 2027, under the theme: „In the Web of Relations.”

Following previous years, we are extending our invitation to scholars of Confucianism, Daoism, Chinese Buddhism, and other currents of both premodern and modern Chinese Philosophy from within and beyond Europe, anticipating a truly global exchange of ideas and arguments. 

We invite submissions of individual papers, special panels, book launches, and roundtables. Each panel, including roundtables, is scheduled for 1.5 hours, with 20+10 minutes allocated for each presentation and Q&A. Roundtables may center around manifestos, drafts, or handouts shared via the Materials tab of this website and focus on joint discussions.

The submission process starts on November 15, 2026, via this website’s registration system, with a deadline of December 15, 2026. Accepted speakers will be contacted on January 15, 2027.
